London, England, September 30 2009 – Today, jNetX announces that Mobily Saudi Arabia selected Ericsson to deploy a jNetX based Service Brokering solution aimed to combine Ericsson prepaid application together with other IN applications.
Mobily Saudi Arabia, the second largest mobile operator in Saudi Arabia is offering several IN services to its customer base. The prepaid service is running on the Ericsson’s leading charging solution while other IN services, such as Incoming Call Screening are based on other vendor’s IN platforms. To date, end-users were forced to choose between these services. As many other operators, Mobily was facing technical barriers to combine the delivery of multiple telecom/IN services.
This problem is now resolved thanks to the jNetX Service Broker which clearly decouples the Service layer from the Network layer. As a consequence, it is now possible for Mobily to offer simultaneously IN and IMS services to any end-user, resulting in a better customer satisfaction and an increased ARPU. Mobily is now able to grow their revenues by simply reusing in new ways their existing IN portfolio.
jNetX was one of the very first ISV delivering an IN and MSC/Switch vendor-agnostic solution to orchestrate IN and/or IMS applications. The jNetX solution has been exclusively designed and optimized to perform service brokering in the telecommunication space. It is capable of handling high-throughput and protocol-specific parameters while managing runtime conflicts between time-critical applications. The jNetX solution covers seamlessly and simultaneously both the SIP/IMS (with its SCIM) and the Intelligent Network (with its IN Mediation) environments. Thanks to its protocol conversion capabilities, the jNetX solution also allows to combine services from distinct domains (legacy, IMS, internet).
“Several of the world’s leading group operators have already selected jNetX to provide value creation and service differentiation in their network service plane.” said Gary Miles, jNetX CEO. “The standards based Java solution from jNetX allows group operators to centralize applications deployment across their affiliates, to reduce their vendor lock-in and to enable true service innovation. We are very excited about this substantial operator reference within the Etisalat Group.” continues Gary Miles.
With this new customer reference in Mobily Saudi Arabia, jNetX confirms its leadership on the service brokering platform market, with one of the most advanced product of the industry.
